These tips are strategies you can do all by yourself and don’t need clinic consults, nutritionists or weight loss experts standing over you. You just need that self-belief and dedication to your weight loss goals.

• Reduce calorie consumption

– Of course we need calories for our daily activities, but to lose weight, we need to cut down on the unnecessary calories. Examples of unnecessary calories that should be avoided are, soft drinks, coffee and alcoholic drinks. Portion control and a healthy balanced meal plan should be exercised regularly.

• Exercise is included in almost all of the best weight loss plans and strip those extra pounds

– It cannot be argued against that exercise is the best method for shedding fat, which can be easily practiced in your own home. You should try to keep moving, walk (or even run) to the shops instead of taking the car. Walk the dog (with a brisk walking pace), clean the house, buy yourself some exercise equipment…, anything just to keep your body moving and burning fat. Exercise is key.

 • Feast on 6 small meals everyday

– By eating 6 small meals throughout the day, instead of 3 large meals, you increase you metabolism. This allows you to split up your calorie consumption instead of fasting or starving yourself between meals.

• Always eat breakfast, Always!

– This is a good habit to keep. Never miss you breakfast as your body will be hungry and metabolism will slow to retain fat stores, which is the opposite affect you are looking for. You will only end up eating more later. Breakfast also give you the energy you need for the day ahead.

• Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day

– Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water per day will help rid your body of toxins, can help your digestive system and can make you feel more healthy in general. Take water before, during and after exercise to ensure the body replenishes its need for water. Water can also give you the feeling of being full, keeping hunger pangs at bay, helping you to avoid the junk.

The tips are reliant on your self-motivation and discipline, but I am sure you will agree that they are easy tips to follow. Know you limitation and keep your focus, but if you falter and end up consuming some junk, just get over it and get refocused on your weight loss goal.
